VACCINATION: VACCINES FOR NEGLECTED TROPICAL DISEASES
This 5-day course will discuss different aspects of vaccine immunology in the context of Vaccines for neglected tropical diseases. The course will have sessions on the epidemiology and immunology of NTDS, vaccination and disease prevention by the immune system, Vaccine development strategies for NTDs, the role of genomic sequencing in vaccine design, the microbiome and vaccination.
It will be an interactive course with talks, discussions, poster presentations, and practical training in grant writing.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENT
This 5-day course is open to graduate students, medical students, fellows, and early career academics working on translational immunology and other related subjects.
For international Students, a passport that is still valid for at least 6 months and a VISA may be required. Kindly check and apply for this in time
Selection will be based on academic merit.
Successfully selected students will receive full funding to cover registration, accommodation and travel expenses.
All selected participants must complete an online pre-course on the Immunopaedia website starting the week of 14th October 2024, closing on 21st November 2024.
